Noise Induction Course
This is a short (around five minutes) introduction to noise for use as part of an induction programme. It covers just the key elements of noise safety, introducing the concept of noise as a risk, a very simple overview of how it damages ears, identifies that some areas of the site have high noise levels and that hearing protection is needed. It also touches on how to wear the hearing protection provided and that they can expect to attend a hearing test at some point in the future.
There are presenter notes to you can see in 'notes view' what you should be talking about with each slide, and you should also add some specifics such as the noise levels in your site, where within the site hearing protection is needed, and what types of hearing protection are provided.
This Induction Course - Noise Module is free to use or modify so help yourselves. It is available in PowerPoint, Keynote and also as a PDF version.
