FREE NOISE SAFETY TRAINING VIDEO

A free video covering the basics of noise safety.

Can be used as part of an employee noise awareness safety training programme.

Also available on YouTube for embedding into presentations.

Noise safety training video

The Noise Regs require any employer with noise levels of over 80 dB(A) to provide noise safety training and the HSE, via L108, are very specific in what it must cover.

This video is the essential highlights of noise safety and anyone is free to use it as part of a noise safety training programme.

If anyone prefers, it is also available on YouTube and from there can be embedded into internal documents, presentations, websites, etc. and the link for this is:

Noise safety training video covering the highlights of noise safety at work. Available as stand-alone information or as part of an employee noise safety training programme.

Employee noise safety training requirements

The need for employee noise safety training kicks in at the 80 dB(A) exposure level, so below the main 85 dB(A) limit where hearing protection and hearing testing are needed.

If your noise assessment shows noise levels to be over 80 dB(A) then noise safety training is needed and the HSE are specific on what this must cover.

I have a separate page detail all the mandatory noise safety training needs here:

The video here covers information on:

  • The UK noise limits at work

  • Average and peak noise risks and some examples of them

  • How noise damages hearing and what is means in reality

  • What happens at the 80 and 85 dB(A) noise levels

  • Hearing testing at work

  • Overview of the use of hearing protection
